I got to know Elma on a wrap party of a short film I was working at as bts photographer, and she was the only face I didn't recognise from the set. Everyone was greeting her politely regardless, but apparently no one knew her either.
Drawn in by her looks and style, and her overall vibe, I had to ask - who were she and what did she do for the film? Turns out she got invited by mistake, by her manager who apparently got an email about our small event.
It was one of those lucky encounters that happen when you're at the right place in the right time.
We connected very fast, and after a few different topics and drinks started getting questions from the crew if we already knew each other. She was a very interesting person to talk to - I found out she was a model, actress and a free spirit, and was there to see what happens and perhaps make some connections. I could not lose the chance of asking if I could take her picture.
We fixed a date a few days after the party, and decided to shoot in her flat, because it was peak summer and boiling hot outside. I was glad I had the shade to work with, and the bright sunlight bathing her rooms from everywhere.
Working with Elma was a flow of energy, shared stories, philosophy and brainstorming. I felt free to try out everything that came to mind - some things worked amazingly, others not at all hahah!
It was easy photographing her; not only because she is absolutely stunning, but because we felt very comfortable in each others company.
Because of our very different lifestyles and her constantly moving energy, we quickly lost touch, but this will probably stay one of my favorite sessions for a very long time.
